Vaughn Wooster.  Music lover.  Record Player.

Vaughn Wooster, aka DJ Von Woo was born in San Francisco, CA.  His extensive record collection started at the age of about 5 years old.  Having grown up with some serious phonograph players in his house he had always been fascinated with turntables.  He took an interest in being a DJ when Hip Hop hit the West coast in 1984.  By 1990 he was able to afford some gear, and in '92 he joined a DJ crew (Spinning Sensations) in his hometown of San Bruno.  Besides throwing their own parties to rock, they played a lot of weddings, High School dances, and various private and corporate events.  1993 was his first year of college, where he took radio broadcast and digital recording classes.
Von started DJing in nightclubs before he was old enough to be in them.  At the age of 17 his friends who DJed the premiere 21+ clubs in San Francisco were letting him open for them.  He eventually worked his way up to headlining slots, and played almost every club San Francisco nightlife had to offer between the years of 1995 and 2007.
These days he combines his extensive music collection, his skills on a set of decks, and his ability to read a crowd, to create the soundtrack to the perfect event, whatever it may be.  After 22 years in the business he feels like he's gained a lot of experience, but strives to do better with every song he plays.
You can currently catch him on a regular basis at Temple Nightclub SF, Ruby Skye, Mr. Smith's, as well as many high end retail stores in the Bay Area, and coming soon to your next event.
